On the 21st and 22nd of March 2014, the 2nd and 3rd NETCET meetings and workshops with fishermen on biology and conservation of cetaceans and sea turtles, their distribution in Adriatic and procedures of handling incidentally caught turtles in order to reduce their mortality were successfully held in Pula and Umag (Croatia).
On Friday 21st of March 2014 in Pula City, in the authorized veterinary clinic "Pula", acting within the National Protocol for alarm and action in case of detection of dead, sick or injured strictly protected marine animals (marine mammals, sea turtles and cartilaginous fish), the inauguration event and takeover of procured veterinary equipment in the frame of the NETCET project were held.

Yes to Tivat!

Welcome to Tivat! Tivat is situated in the central part of the Bay of Kotor (Montenegro). Tivat occupies an area of 46 km2, with 5 km2 situated on the sea shore. According to the 2011 census, Tivat has around 14,000 inhabitants. Along the shore near Tivat, there are small attractive ports, coves and numerous beaches. Tivat began developing as a city only in the late XIX century when the military seaport Arsenal was founded. Today Tivat is a modern town oriented towards development of tourism. Its Mayor signed the Memorandum of Understanding to join NETCET City Network and start to collaborate for the conservation of cetaceans and sea turtles!
